I used my mad scientist ultrahyper shrink ray on Vancouver - Mwahahahahaha!!

This is what you do when you are confined to your quarters on your birthday due to contagious illness and a general lack of energy and enthusiasm. You power trip and manipulate whole cities with your bare hands...and Photoshop...and Photomatix.

By request, fake tilt shift hdr Vancouver. You asked for it Jason. Had to erase some of the gradient mask layer to get the tops of the buildings and the sails in the fake dof.

A couple links on miniature faking:

My contribution to the method as mentioned is to make sure the tops of elements that SHOULD be in the dof are sharp. Sometimes the gradient is too narrow. So for the taller building above I used a layer to do the gradient and lens blur filter, then I erased the blur from the tops of the tallest buildings as they didn't originally fit, and that was spoiling the effect in my opinion.
