is an Ornate Nile monitor lizard (Varanus niloticus ornatus). She was a rescue from a pet store in the Sun Valley, Idaho area in 1998. Ornate Nile monitors can be identified by the five chevrons on their backs and their pink tongues. They are native to Central Africa including the nation of Burundi.
