The forecast was for 3 days of scorching weather, so I put up some shade for plants that would suffer. Last year during a ten day run of 100° days things shriveled up. Ten days like that is unheard of, definately a global warming phenomenon. Our summers are usually tempered by coastal fog. We would normally be fogged in until 10 a.m. every day, but that is happening very infrequently these days. The fog did save us this week though by pushing in at the coast. Though it was warm it was not a scorcher.
