Willits Economic Relocalization

Jason Bradford showing how his town envisions a sustainable future. The citizens of Willits were enlisted through free viewings of the movie End of Surbia for 18 months with an ongoing discussion group to figure out how to make their town sustainable. One of the first towns to enlist in this movement of economic relocalization. This includes generating local power, growing food locally, reducing gasoline use, being good stewards of the biosphere, having a plan in place for emergencies, securing health and medicine and most importantly creating social organization. The first steps were to take inventory of the needs and resources of the community, then envision the desired future, plan the transition and finally implement the plan.
