What a bat was doing flying around NJ in January, in early afternoon, is a mystery. It was warm (maybe 60 degrees F) so it must have really needed a snack.
This has to be the most difficult animal I have ever shot. It flew overheard for about 15 minutes, darting around roughly following a circular path about 30 meters in diameter, while zig-zagging back and forth.
I need an ID. Any takers?
