      Great shot Rich

Black Widows always look like some appendage is about to fall off to me. They just don't look put together well

Great picture! I used to keep these things as "pets" when I was in elementary school (keep them in 2-liter bottles and feed them wasps).

Happy to be in London. Is this taken in the wild and is she actually spinning a web? Either way, this is a great photo.

It is in the wild, if my back yard counts as the wild. I found her in a cart I use for yard work. I "scooped" her up onto the stick that can be seen in the photo. The web she is putting down in the photo is the anchor she used to jump off the stick.

Your close ups really are great.....but they really give me the creeps :) Great macro!! Don't know that I would've wanted to even be that close to her (with just a stick between us ) LOL

Having lived in California, and having met these ladies personally, that is a great shot. Icky but great.
