Do Not Pass Stop
After showing infinite patience with the confusion that is St.Clair West Station, I've finally had it with the TTC.. Since the streetcars are running again from Keele, I have to transfer to a bus at Bathurst, the final stop before the cars loop around at the station.
As you can see, the stop is clearly marked, parallel with the newly-built streetcar stop at the top of the ramp. Last tuesday, as I hurried to an appointment, not one, but TWO buses passed by the stop, even though there were at least eight people waiting, including a couple with a baby buggy.
To be safe, the eight of us walked 100 yards east to the stop by the station entrance. All in all, we waited over almost 20 minutes in the freezing cold. When the third bus finally came, there were so many people waiting around that the couple with the buggy couldn't get on. I'm just wondering how much longer they had to wait.
I was late for my appointment, even though I gave myself extra time because of the extra transfer.
On January 11th, the Metro newspaper stated:
"The TTC reports that few complaints have been officially registered since Sunday. I wonder if that means customers are coping well or that they believe their concerns will not be acted upon.
Count me among the latter, Mr. Giambrone.
