Hanging Coffins in Sagada, The Philippines

It is an ancient ritual in Sagada to hang the coffins of the dead on cliff faces. It remains a mystery how some of the coffins got to their resting places. Perhaps this is a cruel and unusual way of punishing those that never conquered their fear of heights.
