Reginald Pelham Bolton Scrapbook - Dyckman Farmhouse Museum
Archaeologist and historian Reginald Pelham Bolton and his fellow "Relic Hunters" conducted numerous digs in Northern Manhattan in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. As the neighborhood from rural to urban, Bolton and his colleagues sought to document the earlier history of the area. They uncovered thousands of artifacts and also documented their dig in articles, books and photographs.

Bolton created a scrapbook of some of the images and donated it to the Dyckman Farmhouse Museum soon after it opened in 1916. The majority of the photographs date from c.1890-1916.

Please contact the museum for further information on the images.
