Goodbye Blackford Dolphin

After a very long period in our rotterdam harbour it's time to say goodbye. All good things have to end, so even this dolphin has to get back to the sea.

There were 5 tugs, slowly moving her away from the offshore put. The wind was really hard and we waited till very late in the evening, but the crew seemed to be set on leaving at night. So we left her at around 23:00.

I wish her a very good journey and workplace back out at sea and who knows, we might see her back again some day!

(The Blackford Dolphin was build in 1973, she was then able to drill up to water depths of 200 meters, now that she has been upgraded to drill in water depths up to 2100meters!! Upgrading the electronics alone of this rig, took over 70.000 workhours!! From what I understood she will now be set to work on drilling in the area of Ghana.)
