The Light in Ordinary Things
Another from the "Beauty Without Vanity" serie. It has been unbearably cold this last week – Making it rather difficult for me to spend a lot of time outside. The snow has stopped falling and everything is a hazy grey. Yet, I continued to find beauty everywhere I look. It would seems winter, with its frigid temperature and harsh temperament, brings with it a heightened awareness for the simple things. Hidden in plain sight are fragments of life transformed. Leaves, still recognizable after being battered by the elements, lay scattered in earthy clumps throughout the land. Still more remarkably are those few, lamented and twisted, clinging onto skeletal twigs and branches.
