Ham House

On the banks of the Thames, near Richmond, Ham House was built by Thomas Vavasour in 1610, but much altered over the course of the 17th century, particularly by Elizabeth Murray, Countess of Dysart. Now owned by the National Trust. I took this photograph in late afternoon; plenty of brooding cloud, but some wonderful light.
