Marquis Lafayette Wood, undated

Undated studio portrait of Marquis Lafayette Wood, president of Trinity College from 1883 to 1884. He was the first and only president of the school to also be an alumnus. Among his achievements, he worked to raise money for the endowment and submitted the resolution to move the college from Randolph County to Durham, North Carolina.
