@b-real and duchamp, yeah, the texture of this has feel that reminds me of pinscreen animation:
I wish the nfb still signed out 16mm! (although the mediatheque on John st is the next best thing)
I do have a 16 mm print of Paddle to The Sea though.

This is lovely. The soft muted colors are very beautiful.

I wonder what it would look like really really slow? Have you tried that?

BTW, I hadn't heard of Processing before. Is this something like Photoshop that anyone can play with or do you have to be a gearhead to use it? (I don't know anything about writing code)

Knowing programming helps, but it's not entirely necessary. It was made for people new to programming, and there are lots of great resources for beginners. Most of the time you can make great stuff just by fiddling with code from sample programs that come with it.

OK, thanks for that. Unfortunately I think it may be WAY out of my limited tech knowledge range but I'll do some research on it anyway.

Very interesting effect; is the sound also processed?

  12. spDuchamp 79 months ago | reply

The sound is just scaled to the video. No other effect but time compression using the paste to length in Quicktime Pro.

I've been messing around with Processing and have yet to get results like this.
Would you be willing to share your source code with me? I'm still very much in my learning stages.

Also, how'd you export to video?
