We had never been to Las Vegas until two years ago, despite of being a short flight from us. Reluctantly, we traveled there for the first time, to see the Cirque. Most people's description of Las Vegas had been full of superlatives and bad comparisons ("they have gondolas and the Eiffel tower too", for example), so we avoided it like the black plague. When we finally went, we found Vegas to be a very welcoming "town", small, manageable, that didn't take itself seriously, with excellent public transportation. The double decker bus travelling back and forth the strip, was darling, relaxing and entertaining. So we loved it for being the opposite: small and quaint!
