Right side, getting ready to launch.

Model Fun Fact: The Missile Erector Frame is made up of 282L of Rigid 3mm Hose. It's held together by 44 Standard Mini-fig Hands and 25 Pirate Hook Hands. See, I told you that fact would be fun! ;)

This is the Soviet 8U218 TEL (Transporter Erector Launcher). This was the initial model of a short lived, two phase run of tracked, self contained launch systems for the Scud Missile. Production began in 1958 and yielded the 8U218 (seen above) and the 2P19. These were built on the chassis of the ISU-152K Heavy Assault Gun. In 1962, Khrushchev halted Heavy Tank production, and with it came the demise of these Tracked Scud Launchers.
