Malcolm Campbell's original Bluebird
The Sunbeam 350HP is an aero-engined car built by the Sunbeam Car Company, the first of several land speed record breaking cars with aircraft engines. The 350HP was first raced at Brooklands in 1920; in 1922 Kenelm Lee Guinness drove it to a world record speed of 129.171mph (207.88kph) on the Brooklands track, the last time this track would be used for a speed record. Malcolm Campbell bought the vehicle and renamed it Bluebird. He went on to set the first two of his nine records with this vehicle; at Pendine Sands in 1924 he attained 146.16mph (235.226kph) and again in 1925 with 150.766mph (242.635kph).
