Drosera Admirabilis: Perfect Sticky Little Spheres of Death
It would be an unlucky insect to try and navigate this terrain. This is a carnivorous plant known as Drosera admirabilis. Sundews secrete mucilage from their glandular tentacles. When a prey insect lands on the enticing leaf, they become stuck to the mucilage. Other tentacles will wrap over to hold the insect more tightly over the course of a few minutes. Eventually the insect dies from exhaustion or asphyxiation and is digested on the leaf.
