Mount Hood Star Trails 2009

Please view at largest size to see all the stars and the North Star!

Yesterday afternoon I noticed the lack of clouds in the sky. I am a sucker for good clouds but I also wanted to get out and shoot.....so I decided to head up to Mount Hood and wait for the stars to come out.

This was taken a short time before the moon crested the horizon so there is some moonlight on the scene.....

Once you are away from the city and all the light pollution, it's amazing how many stars you can see......I love it up here and look forward to going back more often!

Hope you are all having a great weekend. I plan to visit your streams tomorrow morning and give some comments and critiques!!!!

Cheers

Darren

I did run this through the NR in CS4 one time but in the orig file, there is very minimal noise and I suspect that is because the temps were mighty chilly up there and it kept the sensor cool
