Calfing Glacier - Global Warming?

Prince William Sound, Alaska.

A Glacier is a river of ice. It is constantly growing at its source and may calf or break off at its end.

Global warming has decimated many of Alaska's most impressive glaciers.

Glaciers are formed by snow compressed over many years. Glacier ice is blue as a result of the optical qualities of this very dense ice.
