Ladybug Eats Aphid!

Watch the ladybugs climbing plants. They are usually looking for aphids. Sometimes you will see ants guarding the aphids. These are aphid farming ants. They tend their flock of aphids and in reward the aphids secrete carbohydrate rich honeydew that sustains the ants. The ants will fight off the ladybugs to preserve their source of honeydew.
