Ernest Hemingway was once prodded to compose a complete story in six words. His answer, personally felt to be his best prose ever, was "For sale: baby shoes, never used." Some people say it was to settle a bar bet. Others say it was a personal challenge directed at other famous authors.
I'd like you to post a photo with a six word story caption, and then include your link to it in the comments below. Be as inventive as possible. Have those few words tell the whole tale, and let the picture be it's visual interpretation. And even if you don't have a photo, share the best six word story you can think of.
My contribution is this photo of a bridge construction site in New Jersey, with The Sopranos-inspired caption: "The other shoe dropped. Jimmy followed."
As a way of returning the extraordinary generosity and support you
have all shown me in this great community, whenever I upload a new
pic or series of shots this year, I'll provide a link to another flickr
photog whose work, personality, or spirit I feel you should discover.
