Fuji 800Z March 2009 005-1
I really enjoy strolling down Steven Avenue once in a while. It kinda gets shady at night though. This particular evening I witnessed two whole fights. A cat fight and a "real" fight haha.
But anyways walking down this street really gives you the wild wild west feel. After all it was the main street back in the day. Horse carriages, trams and saloons once filled this place. Heard some gun slinging occured here too!
Anyways this is just another shot I took with Fuji Pro 800Z. Took 2 A12s with me for this particular evening one with 800Z the other with Acros. Hasselblad is great for street photography. People just don't know what you are doing with a wired camera like this. And you aren't looking through a viewfinder so its not ovbious at all.
This is the first time I used the Hasselblad without a tripod ... its pretty decent!
Gotta love the dynamic range of negative because it allows for quick and dirty metering. I really didn't meter this particular shot. I used my Sekonic 358 probably 5 minutes before for another shot. With some quick estimations and adjustments I was able to pull off this shot!
Update April 7, 2009
Street photography is totally about hyperfocal distance. Not so much about quick autofocusing or fast lenses. Wish I thought about this earlier!
