Senior Design Competition 6.6.12
Eight teams competed to win the top four Senior Design projects of 2012 on June 6th in the Mitchell Auditorium. Team VisAssist of the computer science department won first place for its creation of a smartphone app for visually impaired individuals to use with ease. Second place was awarded to the team from the civil, architectural & environmental engineering department that designed the Life Tower, a 100-story multi-use high-rise building. Third place went to the department of biomedical engineering's Design of Improved Suction Catheter for the Removal of Particulate Matter and Liquid Prior to Emergency Intubation Team.
