YOU FUCK OFF!!
The photo club's walk this Saturday morning was the south end of the river channel. We walked north on the footpath for about a kilometre and then retraced our steps south, photographing the river channel on one side and the agricultural land on the other. Near the end of the walk I was near a gate when this guy came out in his truck in a complete rage. The conversation, as closely as I can recall it, went as follows (it's not perfect though, because I can't remember it verbatim, and I didn't have a stenographer with me at the time, although I wish I had):
Him: DO YOU HAVE THE OWNER'S PERMISSION TO TAKE PICTURES HERE?!?
Me: No, why would I do that?
Him: WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?!?
Me: Just some photographers out for a walk.
Him. YOU GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!!
Him: YOU NEED PERMISSION!!!
Me: No I don't.
Him: YOU FUCK OFF!!
Me: I don't need permission.
Him: YOU'RE TRESPASSING!!!
Me: No, I'm outside the fence.
Him: GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!!!!
Me: Look, where's the property line?
Him: IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CHANNEL!!
Me: Yeah right - so all the pedestrians and cyclists are trespassing too I suppose.
Him: YOU FUCK OFF!!! I'M GOING TO CALL THE RCMP!!!
Me: Go ahead. I'll wait for them here.
Him: GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!! I HAVE AN EASEMENT ON THIS PROPERTY!!!
Me: So what? That just means you can drive over it.
Him: YOU FUCK OFF!! GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!!!!!
And so it went for a minute or so until he finally drove off.
Given his behaviour, I'll definitely take lots of photos next time I'm there. Contact me if you want to make it into a flickr party.
