A heavily moustached group of men from II Bataillon Minenwerfer-Abteilung pose for a memento photograph behind a pair of 7.58cm Leichter Minenwerfer n/A

Letter on reverse (below) generously translated by xiphophilos: authored "in the field" on 11.4.18. Photogr. Eug. Keller, Pforzheim z. Zt. 6 Komp. L.I.R. 109.

Despite the fact that the photographer's indicates he is temporarily attached to the 6th company of kgl. sächs. Landwehr Infanterie Regiment 109, there's not a Saxon in sight in this picture. Perhaps he's using old stocks of pre-printed photographic paper.

A heavily moustached group of men from II Bataillon Minenwerfer-Abteilung pose for a memento photograph behind a pair of 7.58cm Leichter Minenwerfer n/A, sometime around April 1918. If I were to hazard a guess, I would say these fellows are Bavarians.
