      Crisp shot. There's another one in the back also. The ammount of guys that are turning up with Gottschos and turn out to be Württ. or Bay. is really stunning.

      I read somewhere that it was only those two states who issued the S15 to their troops.

      I don't remember the contracts by heart, but most communications I've read on this bayonet were indeed sent by the Bavarian War Ministry. It turned out to be the most crappy bayonet from the least reliable contractor, hence so loved by collectors. The use by Württemberg is also evident from the photographic evidence.
      I'm keen on reading Allan H.'s book, aka. Ian Jackson. It will cover the S14 and S15, hopefully with interesting new info. Your pic should be in there also.
