Nothing on reverse.

This picture marvelously captures the atmosphere in a large military kitchen, you can almost smell the soup bubbling away in the background. The presence of nurses suggests the location may be a Lazarett or military hospital.

Great photo - looking at the equipment on view I guess they could double up as Stormtroopers at a moment's notice!

The 'mincer' at the end of the table is identical to the one my Nan used to use to make her award winning pasties. When she had finished, I used to turn the handle while making a shooting sound, pretending it was a Gatling gun. Scores of turnips and carrots fell to my guns.

I hadn't noticed that! Well my Nan (and my parents, heck we've even got one) - similar mechanism - shiny metal and it clamps to the end of a table. Beef in the top, turn the handle and out comes mince. Fascinating to watch in action.

I'm sure it was the secret to making good pasties.

There is something about their expressions - straight faced boardering on the hostile. Almost suggesting to the photographer to get on with it and get out?

Worried someone will discover the secret of his seven herbs and spices?
