B.E.2c of 12 Sqn RFC near Phalempin Northern France, 26th September 1915
Divided reverse. No correspondence.
Pilot Capt. F.B. Binney was wounded and taken prisoner after his BE2c (serial 1744) was shot down by anti-aircraft fire whilst bombing an enemy train from 500 feet near Phalempin on 26th September 1915.
The aircraft was later made airworthy again and given German markings - although they did leave the original serial number on the tail.
