The lunatic's lunar lair

Deep in his heavily fortified lunar lair, the lunatic Doktor Frank N. Staines plays re-creator of life.

"I'm not mad no no no no no no, a little, maybe.

I really like anatomy, just like lego, it's amazing how many different ways you can re-connect it to something totally different, it's fun."

Comments collected by his biographer.

Professor Saul Bones, "Staines, yes I remember him; oddball, everyone else were cutting frogs up, while he was re-building them, no frog should have twelve rectums and only one leg."

Doctor Nado and Doctor Mented, "Yeah, all three of us worked in mash units during the last action, he was quiet, kept to himself, collected cockroaches I believe. Got to give the man credit through, he never lost a patient, in fact more soldiers came off his tables then went on...?"

His house cleaner, "I've cleaned his sheets for years, Staines, I think I know the real reason he's mad."

Brickshelf for all the rest of the shots

  • Teik Joon 德俊 7y

Oh the greebling is most delicious...evilly delicious...!
  • Hawk Weisman 7y

Well Played indeed. Someone needs to either take all your big treads, or give you more. I can't tell.
  • Andrew Becraft 7y

    Great use of those treads!

(Am I the only one for whom the photo looks weirdly pixelated?)
  • Aaron Andrews 7y

Excellent work, Fedde, fantastic details, one of your best =) I have to agree with Andrew though, the pic is really pixelated, especially when viewed in "all sizes"

Thank you all for your wonderful comments, I had a great time makeing this little moc, loving how there area far more uses for tracks then, just tracks. Again, thanks all.

Andrew ( thank you for the blogging ) and Aaron - yeah, I picked up on that pixellation when I uploaded as well? not exactly sure what happened, was playing with the camera's settings and may have been a bit zealous with the black and white balances as well...?
Actually I just remembered, I'd set the camera lens to 2.8 for some reason, I think that's a wide angle setting.

Hawke - give me more, next plan is to make a tank entirely out of tracks

teikjoon - don't say evil, no no no he's mad I tells ya.

and you buggers pushing for 12 rectum frogs, well, okay then, they're yours.
  • Adrian Castillo Photography 7y

    Yes! 12 Rectum'd frogs! :D

A tank out of Treads? O.o
  • Karf Oohlu 7y

House training them is a real bitch, "outside froggo!" hard for it to do with only one leg, suppose he can still hop to it.

Yep, I can make various sized "track" panels - straight and curved, so It could work...

Those lab walls are excellent. If the walls inside the Large Hadron Collider don't look like that then they should.
