My buddies Josh & Tarikh from Uncommon Projects are working on some super slick "what happens when you mount your iPhone on your bike" apps. First up = Bikenik (coming soon). Think: Nike+ with handlbars :)

That's weird, taking a photo of your iPhone from your iPhone.

Weird...i just tweeted about how i hit 400mi on my bike today and was wishing that there was some nike + kinda app for my bike where it would record all my data and tweet it automatically for me as well.

Velox ( is a more traditional style bike computer for, *ahem*, some other mobile platforms. It lacks some of the more social functionality, which would be nice to have for sure, but at the end of the day I'm not real sure I'm nerd enough to strap my phone onto my handlebars.

great! I assume this will be connected to hardware via the 3.0 SDK? can't wait to see what you do with it.

We need the attachment that connects to a generator on the wheel that charges the battery while you bike. Then I wouldn't care keeping the GPS on my whole ride.

Hey Aaron, funny you should mention it, we've been working on that generator idea:
