Brighton North Pier, washing away...
The only time I've been to Brighton, this extrmely thick fog rolled in, blanketing all the building and beaches. I really liked the way this ghostly structure stood still standing, making an appearance against all the odds.
Its gone now, as Brighton Council decided to build a viewing tower on the land adjacent to this ghostly structure.
I do a lot or urban exploring and post on 28dayslater.co.uk, so I have seen many forgotten buildings, but this structure made me feel quite sad, how we let such big iconic buildings collapse, literally into the sea. Eastbourne Pier - the observatory at the top thats now close, anyone been exploring there?
Do you like the cropping? Would you have cropped the pillar to the right out, or zoomed in night and tight on to the structure itself?
