Hello Beautiful! (ID?)
A damselfy resting in the sun, on a rock near the Saint-Laurent river, in Parc-nature de la Visitation in Montréal, Québec, Canada. (The red bokeh is a leaf on the ground.)
I'm thinking this is a female of either Variable Dancer (Argia fumipennis) or Powdered Dancer (Argia moesta) species? Any thoughts on ID would be welcomed. Side-shot is right here.
Tamron Adaptall SP 90mm F/2.5 Macro (52BB), Tamron Adaptall SP 2X tele-converter (01F), Raynox DCR-250 and off-camera diffused Yongnuo YN-560 III flash. Pretty much at MFD, plus a slight crop from the stacking. Four-shot handheld focus stack.
p.s.: Thanks to Eddie The Bugman, whose fantastic stream has encouraged me to try deeper handheld focus stacks.
