352/365 - Blue skies and totem poles

    Newer Older

Day 352: I’ve decided to revisit a couple of subjects that I photographed early in “Project 365/2010” in order to get a different perspective on them. On Day 49 I photographed a sculpture at night titled "Totem", a public artwork by American-Spanish artist Rinaldo Paluzzi, located at White River State Park in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. The sculpture is made of stainless steel and is a triangular shaped vertical "tube" with triangular and trapezoidal cut-outs in the steel. This is my daytime version 303 days later from a different perspective.

A very intruiging piece of art, and the angle really underscores that!

I love how the sculpture breaks up the sky. Very cool perspective as well.

Interesting geometry going on here! I like the angle and the clear lines and focus; also the very pleasing tones :))
