I was walking through an urban market in Leicester,England when I saw the most wonderful older woman eating chips - I knew I had to photograph her.
I chatted (she was happy to chat though a little skeptical at first but interested as well) however refused...adamant refusal...several times.
She did however call her grand daughter out of a clothing shop telling me I could take her picture instead, and this is how I met Sophie.
Sophie was lovely, she struck an few great poses and I liked this one best as she had a cheeky sideways glance into the lens. Sophie was really interested in what I was doing and why. She works as a support worker which this society needs right now. A lovely girl - thanks Sophie for being part of my project.
Before we parted ways I tried one more time to ask her grandmother for a picture, she chuckled at me!
This is shot 54 in my 100 Strangers Project.
