Neist Point, Skye. 30/05/10

This shot was taken at the end of May on a beautiful but chilly evening at Neist (Scots Gaelic: An Èist), the westernmost point in the Isle of Skye.

Update 24/04/16

The long drive out to Neist Point takes you through territory that was at the forefront of the land struggle in late-19th-century Skye - Glendale, the Hamara River and the settlements of Upper and Lower Milovaig. The story is well told in Roger Hutchison's book 'Martyrs: Glendale and the Revolution in Skye' (ISBN 978-1780273228).
