Protesting Harper's slick

    Vancouver came out to protest the Northern Gateway Project - the current proposal to build a pipeline from the Alberta tar sands to the BC Coast. Enbridge's past record for spills makes this a no-brainer - the Boreal forest, one of the last natural carbon sinks, is under threat by this project.

      Chris - thank you for adding this photograph to the Photojournalism in Real Time group. I requested it partly to bring attention to this weeks oil spill (475,000 litres of crude oil) in the Red Deer River in west-central Alberta.
