unseen colour

I took this image a few years ago when I was surveying a house. I was just meant to be a recording the room- so I wasn't thinking about making a 'picture' at all. The image isn't even sharp.

I liked it because it was free of any compositional input from me - also because of the wonderful paint on the wall of course. Whoever thought of painting just one bit of skirting yellow was a genius! Strangely I remember that the house used to belong to a blind lady living on her own. This was the upper room which I think was inaccessible to her because the stairs were very steep.

The story behind the colours will have to remain a mystery.
