7 Days: Day 3 - It burns!

    Newer Older

At last, some merchandising that actually fits me. Band t-shirts and hoodies are usually all far too big for me, so it's nice to be able to get my hands on a bit of apparel related to my musician that doesn't completely swamp me. A nice warm beanie from Hubert von Goisern's "Brenna tuats" tour ... just as British Summer Time begins.

The lindwurm (wyvern) on the green brim is the emblem of Bad Goisern, Hubert's hometown, and a figure he has adopted as his own emblem since he was also born in the year of the dragon. I know, how do I know these things? It's almost as if I've spent more than 11 years translating hundreds of interviews with him. Incidentally, the label inside the hat has the website address on it (www.hubertvongoisern.com). And that makes me happy :-)

Cleverly done, Sarah. Wulf, there are two mirrors involved here, which reverses it twice.

You guys and your tricky mirror shots. It'd take me forever to align this properly. Haha. Love it!

How come I can read the hat in the mirror? WITCHCRAFT!

You and Lauren H and your multiple-mirror shots. I try and try but it takes me forever to get a shot one-tenth as good as your ones. :-)

      I love the perspective here.

What a smart wooly hat, well it was particularly chilly this morning.

That's exactly the kind of mirror in my LIGHT shot! I'm so glad you were able to get something in your size. I have the exact opposite problem -- most hats are entirely too small for my enormous melon.

This is such a clever shot! And I love how shiny your mirror is.

i like this green on you and the slightly naughty lettering.

It's nice that they came over to check your eye color first before they picked that green. ;)

Yes! I was just going to comment on the eye color match. So helpful of Hubert to pay homage to you in such a public way.

This amount of photographic skill and trickery makes my head a lil woozy - nice job! And I'm intrigued, will have to check his stuff out!

Brilliant, Sarah! You are a mirror genius. I can barely align myself head-on in a mirror! Also, on a side note, in America that writing on the hat nearly looks like Brenna Twats and that causes us to take a double-take. Also. You are adorable. That is all.
