    George Boole, the inventor of boolean algebra lived in the last house on the right of this photo from 1849 to 1855.

    I'm certain that most Cork people pass this house daily and haven't a clue as to it's previous occupant's contribution to the world we live in today.

      Nice catch, Donncha...nice reflection. Beside of taking with long exposures, is there any post processing? I like the bold tone of the black :)

      Nice composition. I agree, I've lived in Cork for 5 years and passed that building many times and by chance noticed the plaque this summer!

      I did an unsharp mask with a radius of 70. That tends to make things bold and contrasty.
      I also did a lot of dodging and burning on the building details which isn't very obvious in the small web version but it probably helps in some way.
