In the Copeland Forest you'll find this beautiful pond / marsh, and no matter how you look at it - in visible light or infrared, its a beautiful place to be.
This infrared shot was taken using an unmodified Canon 5D Mark II and a Hoya R72 IR filter. The lens was a 50mm F/1.4 - which creates an infrared hotspot that I had to digitally remove. Besides that a slight curve adjustment, this is pretty much how it came out of my camera.
I have a few more infrared landscape / nature shots on my blog, at don.komarechka.com/2011/05/infrared-forest/
