Last Shot of the Day
There is a saying in Geology that any great find will always come ust before sunset on the last day of the expedition. I'm discovering the same is true about photography. Putting sunsets aside (those are usually a given) I am finding more and more that my favorite pictures often times come from the last inpromptu stop of the day. Usually a lot of these are around those unknown seasonal creeks. Many of them are even above, or below waterfalls in places that people don't normally go.
This is one of those shots.
I had spent the day up on Rainier, and was heading down the mountain when I drove past a seasonal waterfall. I drove another mile before finding a spot to turn around. Luckily, when I got back to the waterfall, there was ust enough on the side fo the road to park my car.
While shooting the waterfall, I could see the large tree at the top of the waterfall, and knew it would make a nice shot.
