Rainier Sunset Eruption (take 2)

Ever have one of those sunsets? I did about a week ago on Mount Rainier. I actually spent the from late afternoon unto the early morning taking pictures of this beautiful Mountain. The news says it is snowing int he mountains. In a week or so, this scene will be totally non existant as the lake freezes over and becomes burried under several feet of snow.

 

To get the full effect, I had to take this picture and process it two different ways, then composite it together. It was one of those, either the foreground looked good but the sky was just blown out white, or the sky looked good but the foregound was way too dark situations.
