Water for Life - PCA 64

Assignment PCA64 'I Couldn't Live Without...' by Donald Macleod

WIT - 'Water for Life''

I set this assignment without giving any consideration to what my own submission would be!

After failing to persuade my wife to be my subject, I had to think of something else. I had several ideas relating to materialistic things but when I really thought about it, I could quite easily live without them.

Instead I focused on the big essentials and decided on water. I settled for this capture of a garden tap. Taken from a few metres away with my 70-300 IS lens as it gave me sharper images than my 18-55.

Exposure: 1/800

Aperture: f/5.7

ISO: 200

Focal Length: 235mm

Editing Summary:

- Square crop

- Sharpening

- Increase in contrast

- Black & White conversion

Played around with adding a lens flare to the drip but didn't like it.
