Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes)

Please read the interesting story about this fox!

Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes), Rotfuchs, Lis, Biebrza National Park, Poland

There is a full story behind this fox during which I lost later half of my left menicus, but it was worth every second! First distance from the car was about 10 m. The fox was smelling something, probably a mouse. Jump out of the car and following the fox through the forest, on my belly and knees. Fox forgot itself because of the mouse but did look up every other moment to check what I was doing and looked directly in my eyes. Nobody moved... This went on about 5 or 6 times and every time I was a little bit closer. Final distance to the fox was about 1.5 m! Could almost have touched him. Glad I hadn't taken my big lens. Would have be too close for that. All pictures were taken with my allround lens Sigma 18-200 mm.
