Perseid Meteor (Enhanced, with Fake Glare) over Stanmer Church

    Newer Older

This perseid meteor was recorded at 21:48 pm BST on Thursday, 12th August 2010.

The meteor appeared in a bright flash for a split second. There was still a lot of daylight in this 30 second exposure, which reduced the contrast. In this image I have added fake glare to the meteor - false, but artistically "true".

    Sensor Speed Setting: ISO 200
    f-number (f/#): f/4.5
    30 seconds exposure
    Camera Location: 50.870° N -0.102° E

Part of a set / Slideshow featuring images of stars, the night sky and the occasional meteor taken during the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower in August 2010.
