105/365 April 15 - Made in China
Today I wore the New Balance shoes I bought specifically for my trip. They served me well over those eleven days of walking. I had a moment of reminiscence today thinking about the bits of dirt that are probably still clinging to these shoes after travelling the 7800 miles back from China. Then I realized that they're more well-travelled than I, as the trip they took with me simply brought them back to their country of manufacture.
Submitted for Dailyshoot #ds516 "Illustrate something technological in a photograph today." and Our Daily Challenge for April 13 : Technology. I challenge anyone to argue the fact that modern running shoes are a technological wonder. From the almost space-aged materials that go into them to the cushioning support that kept my tootsies from aching even after climbing the Great Wall, there's a whole lot of tech going into a pair of shoes.
