#ds379 - Another Pair of Glasses
"Illustrate what the word vision means to you. Either be literal or interpret it broadly and artistically."
I had a more artistic vision (ha!) for this assignment today, but in the end practicality won out. The jumble of glasses in the photo is every pair I've ever owned. Four in total. I didn't find out I even needed glasses until I was 22 and a friend informed me that the shadow I saw around objects was an astigmatism and not how one is supposed to see the world. When I picked out my first pair of glasses, I decided to forego the invisible style frames for a bold plastic rimmed pair, figuring that if I had to wear the silly things I might as well have fun with it. I gave contacts a very brief try, but my glasses are now such a part of my 'look' and how I define myself visually that I don't think I'd ever give them up.
