Where'd you go?

Colorado Model Alix R

Music =

It's been a while since I've answered questions and posted otherwise private comments to embarrass people. Such good fun really.

Q: (multiple sources) Why'd you stop shooting with Alix?

A: We always just kind of shot like each shoot was the last.. or I did anyway. I don't know if we are done, but I do very much love the shots we've done together. Based on your comments to me I'd venture to say she is the best model I've shot.

Q: (from formspring) "Looks like you got stiffed on the Kweav thing"

So there was a post where I publicly tried to bribe K Weav into doing some product photography for me… (not the first person to get the dollen shirt bribe)

A: I have not lost the faith in K Weav and if she did stiff me she would not be the first. I was happy to send her the stuff as a token of appreciate or her work and attitude towards it. Do you're homework on her she is a super cool chick.

Q: (from Tumblr) Do you shoot weddings?

A: Nope. I removed money from the photography equation a while back and with that went the shoots that were too much of a pain in the ass. For me, weddings are hard to shoot and a little to sacred for my booming strobes. I almost did a wedding in New Zealand just to see the place but I explained to them that I am much better suited for the glamor shots and sexy girl thing.

Q: (Model Mayhem message) Why do you give models all of the images?

A: LIke I said I don't care about the money. I keep a day job to pay the bills and I also believe that models get the shaft with TFP and paid gigs. I try to be fair and real even when that means showing a model the bad images. Like photographers, models need to see the good, bad and ugly images. I respect the time they give me and show my respect by giving them the results or our collaboration. I know, I know… it's making life hard for you guys making your living off of the portfolio shoots. I suggesting being more fair to models. Without them we would just be shooting landscapes.

Those are the highlights. The rest are pretty unmentionable.

Dan of Dollen fame just launched his Brvsh btw. that's He deserves a plug for all his efforts for sure.
