MobileMe needs to get a swift pickaxe to the brain
I am the proverbial poster child for MobileMe. I've got two computers to my name, a damned iPhone and a third computer at work. I have a metric fuckton of data that I enter all the damn time on all four of these things and hot damn would I kill a man to get all of this shit synching without having to jump through flaming hoops? I might! I just might murder a person to make this stuff happen! (He would have to suck a lot and some other provisos would need to be met but you get my point. Moving along.) Not only this, but I'm pretty experienced in this platform having used it forever and even managing OS X's fickle mistress SyncServices. And hey, I'm a little bit of a diehard to boot. I want to love the shit out of this.
And yet—Confirm that your computer's data is valid, then reset Contacts on MobileMe in System Preferences. Ok, so while I have verified up the ying yang that my shit is "valid" (for some definition of valid, not that Apple felt like being specific here), and have followed said resetting instructions (System Preferences → MobileMe → Sync tab → Advanced… button → Reset Sync Data… button, honestly) and you know what happens then? An error telling me "Confirm that your computer's data is valid, then reset Contacts on MobileMe in System Preferences." Piece of… you fuc… son…shitASS!
I don't ask for much. I just ask for this to do the thing it's built to do. That whole raison d'être for this damn enterprise. A certain je ne sais quoi for i—wait, I do know quoi, it's to sync all that damn consistent data! I've already hounded the Apple Support forums and hopped on my little surfboard and read what the intertubes had to say and I'll be damned if I know what the problem is. Any help will be repaid in me taking out a life-debt to you all wookie-style. I went there. Whatever.
